In Australia, a Clinical Psychologist must have completed post-graduate training in Clinical Psychology with a minimum qualification of Master of Clinical Psychology equating to at least six years of University training in Psychology.

Clinical psychology does not involve the prescription of medications. Instead, we try to understand the origin of the problem and work together to change thinking patterns and behavioural patterns to reduce the distress you are experiencing.

Dr Jamie Nowlan has completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology and a Masters in Clinical Psychology at Macquarie University in Sydney
She provides treatment for anxiety disorders, depression, illness anxiety and coping with chronic health conditions, management of chronic pain, complicated bereavement and adjustment to the stressors of ageing She offers clinical psychology sessions for adults aged 21 years and older, including older adults aged 65 years and older |
